Icom proudly announces the debut of our new low-mid tier model, the IC-F3023 & IC-F4023 series. This series is the successor model of our long-selling, IC-F3G series. It is targeted at the lower segment of the general B&I market, while the upper portion is covered by the IC-F33G series. The IC-F3023 & ICF4023 series retain the simplicity of operation with up/down channel selections, while having a similar design and construction with our latest IC-F3063 series. The IC-F3023 & IC-F4023 series provides many attractive features such as a optional large capacity Li-Ion battery pack, wide frequency coverage and a compact and light weight body. The IC-F3023 & IC-F4023 series is designed and built like a high-end model, with features for simple everyday operation.

• Newly designed rugged body
  • The IC-F3023 & IC-F4023 series share the same design concept with the IC-F3063 series. The large size 0 key buttons have ample button-pitch to allow blind touch operation. The IC-F3023 & ICF4023 series is also smaller and lighter than the IC-F3G series. The aluminum die-cast chassis is the basis for this rugged construction, allowing long-life usage in various environments.
• Multi 2-tone / 5-tone function built-in
  • The IC-F3023 & IC-F4023 series have built-in 2 Tone, 5 Tone, CTCSS & DTCS signaling capabilities for group communication or selective calling. The IC-F3023 & IC-F4023 series can decode ten 2tone codes or eight 5-tone codes on a channel. When a matched tone is received, many actions are programmable for each code such as answer back calls, beep sounds, bell icon, radio stun/kill, scan and so on.
• Internal option units available
  • The IC-F3023 & IC-F4023 series has an internal 40-pin socket for an optional unit. Voice scrambler and DTMF decoder units are available, depending on the optional unit installed.

Lithium-lon battery pack
Supplied 1150mAh Li-lon battery pack, BP231, provides 8/9 hours* of operating time. For longer operating time, use the BP232 which is rated for a full 15/16 hours*. Li-lon technology has virtually no memory charging issues. A rugged dual-rail guide securely locks the battery to the radio.

Wide frequency range and large channel capacity
The IC-F33G series covers a wide frequency range in one version (VHF 136-174 MHz) The 256 memory channel capacity with 16 memory banks allows you to divide and store a variety of flexible channel groupings. Easy memory channel selection with a simple rotation of the rotary channel knob.

Small and lightweight body
The IC-F33G series sheds size and weight compared with previous models, weighting just 285g* (including BP231) and measuring only 53(W) x 120(H) x 32.5(D) mm**. The aluminum die-cast chassis and polycarbonate casing combination meets MIL standard specifications.

Built-in multi-format tone signaling
Use the built-in CTCSS, DTCS, 2 tone, 5 tone or BIIS capability to set up your own talk groups and quiet stand-by when others are talking. You can also set up selective calls to individuals or control a repeater.

Multiple 2-Tone, Multiple 5-Tone
Encode or decode up to 10 2-Tone, 8 5-Tone codes on a single memory channel. This is perfect for professionals who require multiple district paging on one channel. When a matched tone is received, the following items are programmable for each code.

8 Programmable buttons
The [P0]-[P3], [up],[down], [Red] and [Monitor] buttons are programmable to meet specific needs. The [Red] button on the top panel can be assigned as an emergency trigger.

Alphanumeric display
The 8 character alphanumeric display shows channel, bank, tone code and scanning channel names on the display. A separate row of operational icons indicate battery, signal strength, Rx/Tx and other radio conditions.

Audio compander

The built-in audio compander reduces noise components and provides clear reception even in narrow band use.

Built-in voice scrambler

The IC-F33G series includes a built-in inversion type voice scrambler in all models. When a more secure system is required, the optional voice scrambler unit UT109 or UT110 is available.

BIIS 1200 compatible

The following selective calling and data features are available with the built-in BIIS system.
