Detachable front panel:
With the optional remote control kit, RMK-2 and separation cable, OPC-607, the front panel of the radio can be detached from the main unit. It allows you flexible installations even in limited installation space.

Dot matrix, multi-function LCD:
The IC-F1710/F1810 series has a large dot matrix display to show information with high resolution characters. The dot matrix font allows upper and lower case characters to be easily distinguished. The display setting is programmable to show one line and 12 characters, or two lines and 24 characters.

Rugged construction:
The IC-F1710/F1810 series has a durable construction resistant to shock and vibration and provides reliable operation under harsh conditions. The IC-F1710/F2710 incorporates a front mounted speaker, while the IC-F1810/F2810 has a backlit 10-keypad and external speaker for extended operation.

Built-in versatile tone signaling:
Use the built-in CTCSS, DTCS, 2-Tone, 5-Tone or BIIS capability to set up your own talk groups, and have your radio standby quietly when other groups are talking. You can also set up selective calls to individuals or control a repeater.

Multiple 2-Tone, Multiple 5-Tone:
The IC-F1710/F1810 series can decode up to 10 2-Tone or 8 5-Tone codes on a single radio channel. This is perfect for professionals who require multiple district paging on one channel. when a matched tone is received, the following items are programmable for each code.

256 memory channels, 32 zones:
Up to 256 memory channels can be disvided into 32 memory zones, and allows you quick access to the intended channel.

Tactical group function:
The tactical group function allows you to copy memory channels into a new memory zone (using Zone 32) without using PC programming. This function allows you to construct a temporary work group on site for working with interorganization groups, such as in case of a large scale disaster.

Built-in inversion type voice scrambler:
The IC-F1710/F1810 series included a built-in inversion type voice scrambler in all models. When a more secure system is required, the optional voice scrmbler unit UT109 or UT110 is available.

Radio stun/kill and Power-on password function:
The radio stun/kill functions disable a lost or stolen radio over the air, eliminating security threats from undersired listeners. The power-on password prevents unauthorized people turning on the radio.

It is targeted at the lower segment of the general B&I market, while the upper portion is covered by the IC-F33G series. The IC-F3023 & ICF4023 series retain the simplicity of operation with up/down channel selections, while having a similar design and construction with our latest IC-F3063 series. The IC-F3023 & IC-F4023 series provides many attractive features such as a optional large capacity Li-Ion battery pack, wide frequency coverage and a compact and light weight body.   • The IC-F3023 & IC-F4023 series share the same design concept with the IC-F3063 series. The large size 0 key buttons have ample button-pitch to allow blind touch operation. The IC-F3023 & ICF4023 series is also smaller and lighter than the IC-F3G series. The aluminum die-cast chassis is the basis for this rugged construction, allowing long-life usage in various environments.

  • The IC-F3023 & IC-F4023 series have built-in 2 Tone, 5 Tone, CTCSS & DTCS signaling capabilities for group communication or selective calling. The IC-F3023 & IC-F4023 series can decode ten 2tone codes or eight 5-tone codes on a channel. When a matched tone is received, many actions are programmable for each code such as answer back calls, beep sounds, bell icon, radio stun/kill, scan and so on.

Lithium-lon battery pack
Supplied 1150mAh Li-lon battery pack, BP231, provides 8/9 hours* of operating time. For longer operating time, use the BP232 which is rated for a full 15/16 hours*. Li-lon technology has virtually no memory charging issues. A rugged dual-rail guide securely locks the battery to the radio.

Wide frequency range and large channel capacity
The IC-F33G series covers a wide frequency range in one version (VHF 136-174 MHz) The 256 memory channel capacity with 16 memory banks allows you to divide and store a variety of flexible channel groupings. Easy memory channel selection with a simple rotation of the rotary channel knob.

Small and lightweight body
The IC-F33G series sheds size and weight compared with previous models, weighting just 285g* (including BP231) and measuring only 53(W) x 120(H) x 32.5(D) mm**. The aluminum die-cast chassis and polycarbonate casing combination meets MIL standard specifications.

The large capacity 1600mAh Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion) battery pack, BP-235 provides a practical 8 hours* of operating time. Li-Ion batteries allow flexible charging and have almost no memory effect.

Up to 7 programmable buttons

The large high contrast LCD clearly shows a variety of information with a full dot-matrix display. Program the display to show either 1 line with 12 characters or 2 lines with 24 characters. Status icons are displayed at the top and the functions assigned to the P buttons (P0–P3) are shown at the bottom of the display.

Wide range coverage and large channel capacity
The IC-F70/F80 covers a wide frequency range in one version. The large capacity of 256 memory channels with 32 memory banks allows you to divide and store a variety of channels from local to wide area network channels. Both wide and narrow (25/12.5kHz) channel bandwidth is programmable to each channel. As well, programming for digital or analog modes can be selected on a per channel basis.
